The gym was calling for me. Or rather, yelping for me to get my butt on the treadmill. I was so enthu to start on my morning jogs like 2 days ago. My plan was to jog outside; it was ostensibly cancelled. Let's say, the 'exercise gridlock' due to one's indolence.
Today, I made it real! I went to the gym with Nurul who was zealously wanting to do her cardio on the threadmill. I followed suit; knowing that I can only last for 30 minutes. I was huffing and puffing; thinking that it would be less demanding and torturous jogging at the park. Yes, my favourite park which overlooks my flat! I prefer to exercise there, the morning breeze makes you feel so tranquil and it's free!
Furthermore, it sucks, after you exercise so hard, knowing that you only burn 300 calories for 30 minutes!!! (treadmill has accurate readings) For the lost sheeps, 300 calories approx. equal to one healthiest packet of instant noodle. Even one packet of KOKA has nearly 400 calories. Imagine you have to jog around the field, 3 km, just to burn the fats of 1 packet of maggie mee. For all you know, you'll be hungry again an hour later :/ The best is to eat wholemeal food so you'll be full longer and that they are less fattening.
I've been snacking like some dimwit recently. Once I start exercising, I'll remember how hellish is it to exercise; and hopefully I'll nourish my body with healthy food only. Donuts, Cakes, French fries, Nuggets and Processed foods "taste so good'' that you can indulge in all of them anytime! But, they are so stealthy-ly bad, fattening that they will just help to deteriorate your health. Go organic or buy food with no labels is the best.
Another thing. To have the discipline and willpower to consisitently exercise is no easy-peasy job. Time has never felt so SL000WWW unless you're on the treadmill. I'm sure most of you know that feeling. So, I cant afford to waste my efforts and start back to zero (Like what I've mostly encountered!) Wake up call for Shar :/
P/S: The above deviating reminders and health ramblings are meant for me. If you learn something from it, then I'll call that POSITIVE ! =) Hahahaha.
